Fisher's Museum in Bochnia

  Fisher’s Museum in Bochnia exists since 1959 and bears the name of its founder and first curator - Stanislaw Fischer. The Museum is located in a former monastery building oo. Dominicans. Many architectural elements shows that the oldest fragments may reach even the sixteenth century. The exhibition includes the permanent collection of ancient sculptures and paintings of folk customs and local rituals, non-culture (Africa, South America, Asia), regional archeology, history, with particular emphasis on Bochnia Salt Mine, guild memorabilia, national uprisings, local history, education, writing and printing traditions.
